Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital (AHNH) is a Christian public hospital, which can be traced back to the Nethersole Clinic opened in 1881 and Alice Memorial Hospital opened in 1887. After several reorganization and relocation, the current facilities located at Chuen On Road, Tai Po was opened in 1997. AHNH is a member of New Territories East Cluster under Hospital Authority. Major buildings of AHNH include Administration Centre (Block A), Run Run Shaw Ambulatory Care Centre (Block B), The Jockey Club Diagnostic & Treatment Centre (Block C) and Ward Tower (Block D, E & F), providing 400 beds with 24-hour A&E, in-patient, day hospital and specialist out-patient, day surgery services. AHNH also provides community outreach services and allied health services. Other buildings include Staff Centre (Block J) and Chen Yuen Lee Chun Memorial Staff Lodge (Block K). Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital was the first hospital in Hong Kong to offer services based on Western medical principles to the local Chinese community, which was originally located at Bonham Road, Mid-Levels. AHNH was incorporated from Nethersole Hospital, Alice Memorial Maternity Hospital and Ho Miu Ling Hospital in 1954, where the Nethersole Hospital can be traced back to the Nethersole Clinic opened in 1881. According to the development, AHNH was moved to the newly completed Eastern Hospital in 1993, and finally relocated to the current site in Tai Po in 1997.

To enhance communication and cooperation between hospitals to improve the efficiency of performance and triage patients. Hospital Authority New Territories East Cluster was established in October 2001, covering Sha Tin, Tai Po and Northern Districts, which covers the largest geographical area amongst the seven clusters with population around 1.1 million. AHNH became a member of cluster, mainly to provide 24-Hour Accident and Emergency Service, Specialist Out-Patient Clinics, Day Surgery, In-Patient (mainly covering the departments of Eye, Medicine and Paediatrics & Adolescent Medicine) Service. AHNH also provides several Day Procedure Services, Community Outreach Services and Allied Health Services.
