Established in 1956 and formerly run by the Society for the Relief of Disabled Children, the Hospital now provides specialist services for child patients from throughout Hong Kong, as well as treatment, rehabilitative services and accommodation for patients over 18 years old, especially orthopaedic patients with spinal problems. In addition, it is a renowned centre for the treatment of paediatric orthopaedic problems, and it has an excellent reputation for the management of spinal deformities, not only in Hong Kong but also world-wide.
