Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) located at Kowloon Tong, which was opened in 1956 and named the Hong Kong Baptist College. In 1994, it achieved University status and renamed Hong Kong Baptist University. HKBU currently has 7 faculties, also offering the School of Continuing Education and the Graduate School.

HKBU usually hold the Conferment Ceremony at the Academic Community Hall (AC Hall) in November of every year, conferring around 2,000 undergraduate degrees and 2,000 postgraduate degrees. The edge lining color of hood depends on the degree / faculty of graduates studied.

HKBU has three campuses located in Kowloon Tong - the Ho Sin Hang Campus, the Shaw Campus and the Baptist University Road Campus. The administrative offices, main faculties, the Graduate School and other basic facilities are situated. Other campuses include Kai Tak Campus and Shek Mun Campus. The Academy of Visual Arts is located at the Kai Tak Campus; the College of International Education and the HKBU affiliated primary and secondary schools are located at the Shek Mun Campus.
