Princess Margaret Hospital is located in Kwai Chung Lai King Hill. Government started to develop Tsuen Wan town in 1970. To accommodate increasing population and medical needs. Government began to build a full-scale hospital in late 1960s and officially opened in 1975.
In order to strengthen the cooperation between hospitals and increase efficiency in managing patients, Hospital Authority Kowloon West Cluster was established in October 2002. Serving Mong Kok, Wong Tai Sin, Sham Shui Po, Kwai Tsing, Tsuen Wan and North Lantau with approx. 1.9 million population covering the highest number of population amount 7 clusters.
Princess Margaret is one of the largest network of hospitals in Kowloon West Cluster (another one is Kwong Wah Hospital), serving Kwai Tsing, Tsuen Wan and North Lantau residents. Services included general emergency services etc.
